This case originated in the District Court of Johnson County and is a sequel to a divorce action between the parties. After a divorce was granted to plaintiff, the defendant sought relief in the Supreme Court of the United States by filing both an appeal and a petition for writ of certiorari. The plaintiff by her attorney filed responsive pleadings and briefs in that court. The appeal was dismissed and certiorari was denied. The plaintiff, Patricia Santee, then filed a motion in the divorce action in Johnson County seeking attorney fees for the services of her attorney in defending [223 Kan. 172]
